MotionVFX mModules — showcase 1 of 1

MotionVFX mModules runs on any Mac that supports Final Cut Pro X — Intel or Apple Silicon, doesn’t matter. It’s a plugin, not a standalone app, so you work inside FCP’s timeline.

60 Drag-and-Drop Motion Elements

  • 60 motion elements (titles, lower thirds, callouts, badges)
  • Drag-and-drop usage in Final Cut Pro X
  • Plugs into the Titles browser

Installs to Titles Folder in FCP

Install goes to /Users/Your User Name/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles. Once there, each element shows up in the Titles browser inside FCP. Drop one onto a connected clip — it tracks the clip’s position and duration. Typical jobs: lower thirds for interviews, intro titles, or badge overlays for product shots. No separate app to launch, no rendering outside FCP.

Runs on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs

MotionVFX mModules works with Final Cut Pro X on macOS 10.14 or later. It supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs equally. No extra software, no license server, no background process. The plugin sits in the Final Cut Pro Titles browser once installed, and that's it. It uses whatever system resources Final Cut Pro already has—CPU, GPU, memory—to render the motion elements inside your timeline. There is no separate renderer, no background app, and no activation check at launch. You download the archive, unpack it, move the files, and open Final Cut Pro. The elements appear under the motionVFX category in the Titles browser. No dialog or popup tells you it is ready. It just shows up.

A Typical Workflow: Adding a Badge Overlay

This covers a quick start-to-finish job: adding a badge to a product shot in a review video.

  1. Open Final Cut Pro X and import your video clip onto the timeline.
  2. Open the Titles browser (Window > Titles or the shortcut). Look for the motionVFX category.
  3. Browse the 60 elements. Find a badge that fits the scene — something like a circular callout or a banner with an icon.
  4. Drag the element from the Titles browser onto a blank area above your clip on the timeline. It snaps to the top video track.
  5. Trim the element’s duration to match the moment you want the badge to appear — usually one or two seconds on screen.
  6. Click the element in the timeline to select it. In the viewer, reposition the badge by clicking and dragging it where you want it over the footage.
  7. Open the inspector (Window > Show Inspector). Look for the mModules controls. Here you can change the text, alter the color, or adjust the size and rotation. Not all badges have all controls — check the inspector for what is available.
  8. Play back the sequence. The badge appears at the in point, stays on screen for the element’s duration, and ends at the out point. No extra rendering step needed. Export as usual.

That is the whole cycle. No export, no standalone preview, no file management. You drop, adjust, and move on.

Best for Fast Editors and Small Teams

Editors who work fast and need a library of reusable motion elements benefit most. If you run a small video production shop, a YouTube channel, or a corporate communications team, mModules saves the time of building badges and titles from scratch in After Effects or Apple Motion. You do not need a motion graphics specialist on staff. The drag-and-drop workflow means one person can handle both editing and simple overlays. It also fits editors who work on multiple projects per week. Instead of rebuilding a lower third for each new client video, you pick one from the mModules set, change the text, and finish. The 60 elements cover enough ground for most interview, review, and explainer video styles. For the Final Cut Pro user who wants motion design consistency without designing it themselves, mModules is a time saver.
